Okay, it seems I should've been more patient.
All nautilus windows hanged for such a very long time, it seemed like it was in
an infinite loop. So I just killed poor nautilus before it had the chance to
react...

Description:
Opening ~/.thumbnails/normal makes nautilus lock up.
It probably gets in an infinite loop trying to make thumbnails
