I am also sorry, after the reinstall of 7.10 I still can't reproduce the

I disabled the preview of audio files and the problem was fixed, but the
issue still remains.

I believe it has something to do with the autopreview of music files
when you hover over them. Is there a way to disable this to see if the
problem lies there?

Hello again. I tried to get a backtrace, but when I am at the step of
writing continue to gdb and then making nautilus hang nothing happens.
Only the text "Continuing." stays at the terminal. Probably this happens

Today I noticed that when I put the mouse cursor over an icon of a MP3
file (I haven't tried with other audio types) nautilus hangs. I have to
do killall nautilus to force it to reload and everything works OK till I
try again to go over a MP3 ico
I just remembered to add that it happens on all files named *.mp3. I
made an empty one and named ti bla.mp3 and nautilus hanged again on
mouse over.
