clicking on the "help" app in the dock launches a window with the title "Ubuntu
Desktop Guide". The icons for forward/back, bookmarks, search, etc. are all
visible at the top of the window, but everything else

I'm trying to do some automated testing that involved upgrading a system
from bionic to cosmic, so I need it to not ask for user input.
Before running do-release-upgrade, the system got a fresh dist-upgrade
and reboot.
To avoid interactive responses, I'm using:
$ sudo do-rel
This is a system that's gone through upgrades from at least xenial
through artful. I never manually enabled it, but it could have been
included in an older session along the way and carried forward if
nothing stopped it.

The point of the testing is to use eventstat to find things causing lots of
wakeups, which could have an impact on power consumption and battery life. So
working around the bug would kind of defeat the purpose of testing.

microphone volume bar move while I talk, but if I have the format set to
.ogg, I hear nothing upon playba

gnome-screensaver is at 2.30.0-0ubuntu1, which seems to mostly just add
translation updates. However, I've been trying to reproduce this on the
same platform, and so far I've had no success in making it happen.

I changed default-sample-rate to 48000, logged out/in, and retested.
Everything still seemed the same though. 48kHz samples would play,

Luke, I've tried with rhythmbox, as well as other players and the result
is the same. I can play both wav and ogg/oga files as long as they are
48000 Hz rate, however files with other sampling rates such as 44100 Hz
don't seem to play - I just get silence.

I'm able to reproduce this also, the important pieces to make it happen are:
1. a saved wifi connection
2. you have to setup your gnome-keyring with a password, rather than leaving it
blank
3. reboot the system
Workarounds are pretty simple and could probably be release noted if
this can't be fix
I also saw this on imx51 today. The system was not in active use at the
time. Apport did say that it was indicator applet that failed, but then
went on to report the bug against gnome-panel.

Installed A3 Karmic UNR today on my Eee900 and after what seemed to be a
successful install I rebooted. Automatic login is default on UNR, which
I took. After the reboot, gdm came up and tried to auto-login, but said

after logging in, I see a dialog box that says my battery may be broken
and that it only has 1% charge, yet it's been plugged in for a long
time, and the battery meter shows that it's full. Will post screenshot.

While this bug does seem to affect some UNR users, it does not seem that
it is specific to UNR, so I'm removing the ubuntu-unr tag for the time
being. If anyone feels like it is specifically a UNR related bug,

I suspect this is armel specific since I would expect to see a lot of
reports of this on other arches if it were not. Subscribing to ubuntu-
armel, but it still needs reproducing and upstream.

I can confirm that this is still broken in karmic as well. Target
resolution is 1024x576. Currently, the default size when it comes up is
444x642 and the minimum size as reported by xwininfo is 444x599

I can confirm this, however I believe it to have more to do with netbook
launcher than gnome-terminal. If I try to launch two gnome-terminals
out of the accessories tab, it works fine, but not if it has been
launched from the Favorites screen.
