Well the options are editable using gconf-
Well the options are editable using gconf-editor tool
(/system/storage) - they aren't part of fstab and I was able to find
the right keys to unset and it can mount now.
BUT this bug report is about the user interface which allows wrong
options to be set and then doesn't allow to easily change them

I have a internal sata disk formatted with one single ext3 partition.
I click on the volume in Nautilus->Places and it mounts fine. However
after mounting I try to incorrectly change the mount options or path -
there is no way to correct it once
