I switched to Apple Mail some weeks ago, and it turns out that at least
in my case the server is the reason why I received blank messages, since
the problem happens on this email client as well.
I don't use evolution anymore, so I cannot help further.

I don't know why.
I just installed Kramic, which doesn't solve the problem.
