I too have the same issue but #15 did not workout for me. Some help
needed.

Files application throws an error 'Oops!

I am trying to open the recent button on the left pane to open the recent
files/folders. Then I get an error message saying "Oops!something went wrong.
Unhandled error message:Message recepient disconnected from message bus without
replying."
I have seen similar bug #163316
