the permissions of your ~/.gnupg folder and it's contents are wrong.
This happens when you run software with root privileges that change
stuff in hour /home directory. Use gksudo for those.

The crash and the tab filled with other keys don't have anything to do
with each other. Most likely, the option to import unknown keys was

Yes, this is a known problem with poppler, which doesn't support the
AESV3 encryption yet, see

report.
