The gaim tray icon (the plugin: docklet.so) doesn't follow the
transparency settings of gnome-panel. The icon shouldn't show as solid
block if the panel is set to be transparent. Sure, it's nit-picky, but
it's also irritating and not well integrated.

something is wrong with ALSA and USB sound. I removed my Soundblaster
Audigy and reinstalled Dapper with my only sound device being my USB
