This issue has also caused me to switch to KDE. I was surprised an
issue such as this existed on an LTS release and I'm even more surprised
that it STILL exists. I was hoping this would be fixed for Intrepid,
but unfortunately it's not. Who do we have to pay to get this done?

Same error when trying to run vnc2swf-edit to convert an swf to mpg. I
got around it by killall pulseaudio, but vnc2swf-edit doesn't work
regardless (yet another program that doesn't run right).
For an LTS release, the Ubuntu devs sure do have their work cut out for
them ;-)

crashes each and every time. Just try to copy a calendar item somewhere
else in the calendar and watch it crash.

Up to date Hardy and F-spot still doesn't work properly on AMD64. If I
go to a terminal and keep trying to run "f-spot" over and over again, it
will work about 1 in 20 times (the other 19 times, I get the same error
