am new to ubuntu, when i try to play video file in totem, video is not
stable it goes blank and appears when i try to move (using cursor) and
goes blank again.

I'm using Karmic, fully updated to 26/01/10.
The 'Too many failed...' message is no more, but the bug is still there, I
click 'print' on evince, the little printer icons shows up on the notification
area, and disappear.
Thats the error in /var/log/cups/error_log:
