I've just tried the patch from upstream. It doesn't fix the problem on
my machine.

fact it hadn't. At least in my and max's case. Both I and max still have
an empty folder appearing while using 2.24.3-0ubuntu1 version of
evolution package. Moreover I can't see anyone who confirmed that update
to 2.24.3 fixed the

No change for me. I still can't get rid of unnamed folder. I had deleted
account and then created it again. Unnamed folder appeared like it
always did before.
