Title:
gnome-shell crashed with assertion failure
"!xcb_xlib_threads
Reverted mutter to focal-updates stock, rebooted into 5.8.0-33, repro'd
again :( so we're back to the hypothesis that there's something wrong in
5.8.0-33. Sorry for the noise, I'm trying to debug this as best as I
can.

Gnome shell version 3.36.4-1ubuntu1~20.04.2 has been the same
throughout. Mutter likewise on 3.3
Total elapsed time is sometimes days or hours when in fact I have taken
less than an hour elapsed time and active time is also off although a
bit closer. I gather that it has not been fixed with the upgrade to
9.10.
Gnome: 2.26.1
Kernel: 2.6.28-15-generic

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: totem
I am using Ubuntu 8.04
- the Hardy Heron
Synaptic 0.61ubuntu9
I am trying to play a movie using Totem but instead I keep getting the message
that libdvdcss is not installed.
I am trying my best to install libdvdcss. I tried this:
I've since upgraded to Jaunty on that partition so the version of gnome-
power-manager is 2.23.0-0ubuntu12. The condition still exists. I did
not get a crash this time because I waited for the long pauses to end
before restarting.
This is how I reproduced the issue with the laptop (Compaq NC6120)
