There's a workaround in hardy that force the Bitstream font to be the first
one. It doesn't actually solve the bug about the automatic language
detection in pango.

It's quick if I use cp command or other filesystems.
Steps to reproduce:
1. make a xfs filesystem and mount it to /target
2. open nautilus, copy a big file from somewhere and paste it to /target
3. it's VE
