Hi, recently I had changed the gpu driver to the latest one from nvidia
nvidia-driver-418(opensource) and I since then, I started experiencing
performance problems similar to those mentioned earlier: "'upower' using
100% CPU and another shows 'kworker/6:0-events' using 100%.". The
prolems starts af
. So it clearly indicates that the problem is with
nvidia-driver-390. As I haven't played any video games recently it doesn't'
bother me, but it would be nice to have this driver working correctly.

set the bios to discrete only, I get an HDMI signal. If I set the bios
option to hybrid, I can use prime-select to switch between intel and
nvidia but in both cases I cannot use HDMI anymore and in both cases

@Alberto: Thanks a lot for your help! There is no such setting in the
BIOS of the Thinkpad X1 Extreme. I can either select discrete only or
hybrid cards. I was finally able to get prime-select to switch to intel
but the rate remains at like 20W which is essentially the same as using
the nvidia card

each. I near to the finish but progress bar is still at the beginning.
The number of files to unpack is also frozen at 11919 but using
Properties option in Thunar I see that 10602 files are already unpacked.

Small update with MX4. I've switched from UT to Cyanogenmod 12.1 and tested GPS
fix.
It get that fix in 2-3 seconds with data mobile and WiFi turned off! So problem
isn't hardware, is software (at least in MX4).

Regarding GPS fix I think that it's hardware problem (GPS used in Cortex),
because I look at several android phones and here're my results:
- all phones tested with Snapdragon (Nexus 4, LG L fino, one HTC) get first fix
below 10 seconds;
- all phones tested with Cortex (Lenovo A820, MX4, Kazam) g

I believe has been "fixed" for Transmission with the upload of one of

What? This is completely backwards. Dynamic objects should not have
items, while actions
A lot of the discussion here is that some archives do not offer
compression, and therefore they should not be renamed to compressed
files. This is a completely irrelevant technicality. You are thinking in
the UNIX way, not in the simple user way. The simple user doesn't
recognize the difference bet
So now we have to search for a separate tweak UI tool? This is recipe
for disaster, as such tools are often malware vectors. There might not
be any such malware now, but I wouldn't count on it not appearing some
time in the future.
Bringing back this tab is as simple as reverting a single Git comm

Some GTK widget themes clip the icons in the indicator applet by a few pixels.
This looks very ugly. See attached screenshots.
The problem is not always noticeable with the stock indicator applet icons.
