I think I'm having the same issue, regarding the notification area. I
tried to do a google on it and this is what came up.
This problem has been ocurring ever since i updated from Jaunty to
Karmic. GNOME is v2.28.1
The problem has become more frequent lately though and now it seems to

Found a workaround: Its easy to disable normalize since it's a plugin.
Just chose "Plugins" from the "Edit"-Menu and clear checkbox beneath
"Normalize". Now everything works fine - except normalizing of course ;)

revert to the previous version of NetworkManager, then these are the
steps involved:
* remove network manager
* purge apt cache
* remove the PPA lines you added to /etc/apt/s

Add Alexander Sack's PPA repository to your /etc/apt/sources.list:

aac is broken. Now I just use faac, when I have to. But I also
converted all my music to OGG/Vorbis and audiobooks to OGG/S

it fails with a timeout. Using SSH on bash works, using Konqueror and Fish
works too.

delete a profile, it should be deleted instantly. However, the bug is
that it doesn't. Try deleting multiple profiles in one session...

Sorry Ross. I encountered some other "profile-related" bugs on Feisty
and Gusty while editing profiles, and this lead me to believe that maybe
you were passing the options incorrectly or they were being corrupted on
the way to gstreamer. There are other issues in sound-juicer, like
sometimes not

I have a 40 inch 1920*1080 display attached (Approximately 55 dpi
according to my calculations). Xorg.log says it detects a DPI value of
304, 304.
I get *GIGANTIC* fonts and Icons and am unable to install gutsy tribe 4 or
change anything because hardly nothing fits on
my screen !

hsize=4
number_of_desktops=1
Changing number_of_desktops to 4 brings back the old "Gnome-look" to the
