Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ekiga In Xubuntu, the .desktop file is at it's right place under /usr/share/applications but it does not appear in the menus due to a difference in the menu structure, between Ubuntu and Xubuntu (Gnome/Xfce4) I suppose. So I did this : change the line
