Currently, the Universal Access Preferences' icon in GDM shows a "ban image" (a
circle with a diagonal line).
I believe this is not appropriate since the current icon conveys ideas not
related to Universal Access.

I believe this bug report needs to be re-opened since I have experienced it
very recently.
The tittle of the error shows "package gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
0.10.28-0ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite
'/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstshm.so', which is also in package
gstreamer

I have experienced the same issues in Ubuntu 10.04 and Ubuntu 10.10.
I though that maybe the directory "Expunged" was a folder that stored
big files, since I saw that in one of the user's Expunged folder
included video files.
So, what can we do here?
1) Inform the user that their files might be
ok. I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit on a 64-bit capable laptop. (Another
laptop).
The same problem occurred on this newly installed system.
It seems that this bug or problem is only reproducible on a newly installed
system.
The problems always goes away after a couple of restarts.

It got fixed after a couple of restarts for me also.
I guess we can close this bug now.

side the trash after emptying-out?

After running all updates and installing packages using Synaptic, the
problem is gone. I can see the deleted files at Nautilus trash now.
And yes, the deleted files are in ~/.local/share/Trash
Jackh, update using Update Manager and see it you still have the same problem.

When I delete a file by pressing "delete" on the keyboard or by right-clicking
a file and then choosing "Move to Trash", the file is removed as intended, but,
when you open the trash:/// directory, it does not show any of the delete
