1) Disable all shortcuts in Vinagre preferences dialog, or
2) Change the shortcut you want:
2.1) First, enable it in GNOME: Open gconf-editor and set the key
/desktop/gnome/interface/can_change_accels to true.
2.2) Open vinagre, put the mouse over
The VNC protocol limits passwords to 8 chars. This is the specification.
Vinagre just follows the spec.
