Public bug reported:
I'm not getting any sound from the Karmic RC on ia32.
At first I did get sound, but at a very low volume, and the pulseaudio
daemon was using 100% of one of my cores.
So I killed pulseaudio and restarted it. Now I'm not getting any sound
at all. The pulseaudio daemon is ru

Can somebody verify this with Intrepid? It seems to have gotten fixed

if you launch Brasero once it will ask you if you want to use it as the
default CD burning app.

Note that the default CD burning application in Hardy is Brasero, and
this isn't a problem in Brasero.
So while nautilus-cd-burner is apparently still broken, one workaround
for this would be to go with Brasero instead.

My DHCP requests don't take 25s any more, so therefore I'm not seeing
this issue any more (Gutsy).
Since my DHCP situation has been resolved, I can unfortunately not say
whether the Ubuntu bug is still there.

This might have been fixed by upstream:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444503
http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/evolution-exchange?view=revision&revision=1502
It's a really simple patch (move an if() clause a few lines) that should
be easy to backport if this is deemed important enough.
