Public bug reported:

Connected to an Exchange server. Very frequently Evolution will display
"Your Calendar will not be available until Evolution is restarted." (or
something like that). I get the same message for Tasks as well. This
is happening constantly, and
I am still getting the original error, sort of. Whenever I start up my
computer, I still don't get the panels on screen, unless I hit
Ctrl+Alt+Right Arrow to switch viewports, and then they appear again. I
have the latest updates as of 17 Oct 07, which is only one day away from
the launch date, a
I just rebooted (because I wanted to make sure that it didn't just
happen on the first boot after a theme change), but now it appears that
the panels are still gone. Can someone else try changing some parts of
your theme (maybe window border, controls, etc.), and then reboot? I
wonder what the ca
Ahh, why do I have to be the loner? It was fixed for me, at first, but
then last night I changed the theme of my windows a little bit in System
--> Preferences --> Appearance, and today when I booted up and logged
in, both of my panels were missing until I changed viewports. Bummer.

I tried the same thing that LCID Fire did, then I changed
CONCURRENCY=none back to CONCURRENCY=shell in /etc/init.d/rc, and
rebooted, but I'm still getting the same error.

Yes, I'm still getting this problem. Evolution simply seizes up, and it
dims, and it sits there until I eventually kill it myself, because it
never actually dies on its own. It's just unusable until I kill it and
start it up again.

I'm not sure that this backtrace is that descriptive as to what
happened, particularly because the application remains hung for a long
time, and I end up having to kill it. But here it is anyway...

Strange, before the last compiz updates (before the last updates prior
to 10 Oct 07, that is), I was able to click on the desktop and my panels
would appear. Now (after the last compiz update prior to 10 Oct 07)
when I first boot and log in, both panels are invisible, and the

It still says "fix released" under Status up top. I'm still getting
this bug, too, so I don't believe that a fix has actually been released.
