Same issue here, when setting Focus Follow Mouse, but with Xorg.
I have a terminal and an editor opened. My mouse is over the terminal. I
Alt+Tab to the editor, it changes focus to the editor and immediately
focused back on the terminal -- effectively Alt+Tab is no longer
working.
Ubuntu 22.04.2
Still happens quite often here, I have to kill/restart every other day,
at which point it is consuming > 2Gb of memory.
$ apt-cache show gnome-panel
Package: gnome-panel
Priority: optional
Section: universe/gnome
Installed-Size: 1396

Original-Maintainer: Debian GNOME
Same issue here, in my Lucid 10.04.
I thought it is worth mentioning that when I resize the window to
smaller and then maximize again, it gets zippier for a while -- helpful
when it gets really sluggish ...

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: sound-juicer
After editing a CD whole information somehow MusicBrainz wouldn't allow
my submission. So I just ripped the CD instead and decided to submit it
later.
Later when I reinserted the CD again to try to submit to MusicBrainz,
SoundJuicer had lost
I also used to have the problem -- see upstream report.
Since the update in intrepid, a couple of days ago, to evolution (et al)
2.24.3) the problem mysteriously disappeared -- or at least Evolution
memory stays stable after a few hours of use.
