Using Kinetic, Xorg.

I can confirm this is happening on Xubuntu 18.10 with Thunar as the file
manager.
The workaround 'killall Thunar' after inserting the USB drive does work however!

I burnt a 7.0 gbyte .iso with brasero (selecting the correct option) on a
verbatim DVD+R DL and the result is a dvd not recognized at all by ubuntu nor
by windows xp (the only tests I made). Burnt at 6x.

It seems to be fixed.

When you install the nvidia driver, Nvidia X Server Settings isn't added
to the System -> Administration menu until you log out and back in. (And
that's after you rebooted to install the driver, and therefore already
logged in once)
Steps
i confirm this bug with Ubuntu 7.10 final release (update and fresh
install).
it's really annoying reading garbled words; moreover, i do not understand why
All Day appointments appear so small.
hope the bug will be fixed; maybe i can do something to help fixing it, if so
