It's seem that it was Empathy that was trying to connect to GTalk
endlessy with failure for an unknown reason that caused google to
temporary ban the account to avoid mass connection tryout I guess. I
disabled auto-connect on empathy, then 1 to 2 hours later, I was able to
connect to GTalk with emp

empathy again. I didn't know what causes this behaviour in Empathy.

I could in the end test the 2.12 from PPA.
It does not improve the situation.
Reproducing is very easy: select many pictures at once, then press on "F2" and
wait for minutes at 100% CPU for the dialog to appear. Then, the rename itself
is pretty fast.

Same here. Setting Master level to 0% does not mute the sound.
According to alsamixer,
PCM is set to max : PCM [dB gain=12.00, 12.00]
Master is set to min : Master [dB gain=-46.50, -46.50]
And sound still comes out of the soundcard at a pretty good level.

Managed to obtain a stack trace.
This bug is interesting to reproduce. Here is the only way I have
managed to reproduce it:
1) Copy and paste from Windows running in VMware into a new Evolution email
message.
2) After doing this ~4 times, Evolution will be unable to paste. The modifer

I was removing some packages. Maybe some were related. Gnome-panel
started again, so it obviously works fine. Something with the removal
process. This shouldn't happen, anyways. =)

Here is more info:
I've changed the IMAP server to Dovecot, and the exact same problem occurs, no
better, no worst.
I started Evolution with CAMEL_DEBUG=1, and when it occurs, I get the following
error message:
