The demo program is now translated to C, tested on RedHat 4, and it fails. This seems to be a gtk problem. ** Attachment added: "C translation of Demonstration of how file filters is not persistent." http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26174951/fcb.c -- FileChooserButton forgets file filters https

The demo program works as expected on Solaris 8, with Python 2.5.1 and (probably) pygtk 2.10. So it's not a programmer error. Remains to see if the error is in pygtk or in gtk. -- FileChooserButton forgets file filters https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367285 You received this bug notification beca

OK, I've told them. But the bug was marked as obsolete, when I had only tested with pygtk 2.13. I don't feel confident that this is not a programmer error, as I am a beginner with gtk programming, and only a python hobbyist. But my demo program is fairly simple. Everything that happens, happens

I've filed a bug upstream, as proposed. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=580321 A comment there is: Cannot reproduce here. This was most likely a GTK+ (not PyGTK) bug that was fixed at some point. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #580321 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?
