My particular problem stemmed from reconfiguring python3 to point to
python3.7 instead of python3.6 via update-alternatives. Logging into
terminal-only mode (Ctrl + F3), setting update-alternatives to use the
system version of python3.6 again, and rebooting solved the issue.

I didn't know how to log into "Ubuntu" instead of "Ubuntu on Wayland"
since I only got a blinking cursor and no logon prompt. I edited
/etc/gdm3/custom.conf and rebooted.
Successfully got a GUI logon prompt and was able to log in to the

directory, and rebuilding the package. After that they installed to the

also tried the same thing already converted to mpeg/NTSC at the same aspect

There's a workaround for this that may work for some folks. If your
concern is only ignoring certain types of files while importing from a
camera/memory card, the search toolbar may be of use.
While in the import page, hit F8 to make the search toolbar appear (or

pointing to actually exist? AFAIK Shotwell will not create a new folder
for you; if the folder doesn't exist, it will switch to the child
folder.
So for example if you point it at ~/Pictures/shotwell, but only
~/Pictures exists,
It should be noted that as a non-destructive photo app, Shotwell won't
overwrite your original photos. If you launch an external editor via
Shotwell it automatically makes a copy.

Wow, I didn't know it was possible to burn symlinks, but there it is:
there needs to be an -f option to genisoimage or you get a symlink (or
nothing) instead of the file. I did a test with brasero and I got the
file rather than the link.
Take a look in the gconf-editor, under apps/brasero/filter.
I'm seeing a severe memory leak in wnck-applet (and gnome-panel, too)
related to auto-hide.
If I set 'autohide' property in the bottom panel (it has the default
stuff on it but I have widened it to 48 pixels), then *each* hide
operation adds about 2 MB to wnck-applet, and likewise each 'show' adds

If this bug could be fixed in time for Lucid release, I think that the
click under is probably the best way to go (as that is the default
behaviour of notify-osd as far as I'm aware).
If it can't be fixed, then could the behaviour be modified to make it
clickable?

Agree with comment above - I expected this to start Empathy or at least
sign me in when I logged in. Either the option needs its wording
changing (and perhaps another option added to make it actually start on
login) or it made obvious how you can make Empathy start on login.

It's still the same problem with Karmic alpha6. I can confirmed this is
a bad experience to select a language at boot time and end up with
english when you're at Gnome.
Hope a solution will be find soon so users may have a better first
experience.

LiveCD session doesn't provide fully translat
I had this issue, and additionally, yelp would cause the system to run
_very_ slowly. Removing the package for xulrunner-1.9.2 eliminated the
problem. I have not tried reinstalling the package to see if installing
it again reproduces the problem.
