I also noted that when one "gnome terminal" window stops to response to key events, all other "gnome terminal" windows are also affected, during which time, launching any new instance of "gnome terminal" does not solve the problem unless all exinsing "gnome terminal" windows are closed. -- Some g

Public bug reported: Sometimes gvim, gedit, gnome terminal, and firefox do not reponse to keyboard inputs. When the problem occurs, the application does not response to text input, but the menu item can still be accessed via keyboard, and the window manager still responses to keyboard events. The
