Ok, this bug seems to disappear when a proper calendar application is installed (e.g. Maya in my case) (see the attached screenie). Also, this is a bug is not a gedit one (captain obvious), cuz gedit's category are: Categories=GNOME;GTK;Utility;TextEditor; and no: Categories=GTK;Office;Calendar;

Ok, a few reboots and intentional messing up with my session and stuff and everything works like a charm :) However one thing still bothers me - why did gsettings went on a rampage and messed up with GSD? :P -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs,

Ok, resetted as you said and everything is fine :) (will do a few laptop reboots just to be sure, through) However, whilst this is not a bug in GSD, this is still some kind of a issues, cuz in normal situation one would not need to reset the org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins :) -- You received

Sure thing. I start any gnome session (Unity, Pantheon, Gnome-Shell etc...) and they all look broken. And by broken I mean: GTK 2 apps look ugly (they use some fallback GTK 2 theme, see the equalizer on screenshot I originally attached) The fonts are not the fonts I've selected via Gnome-tweak-T

Ok, I spoke too soon with that bug. It could not be about GS-D after all, but it's still related to some basic Gnome-component, cuz it affects all the Gnome sessions out there (yeah, I even tried building a custom one and it is still borked). P.S. I've attached the ~/.xsession-errors file :) *
