sound "skips / jumps" occasionally. I also have a "clean install" of 8.04 on a separate removable HDD. What is interesting is that when I play the same CD (via Rhythmbox) using 8.04, the sound is OK and does not "skip" or distort ! I hope this is the info you wanted. R
