Which ones? GLib's? I installed evolution-dbg to take the backtrace, but
didn't know what else to install, as the script in the wiki didn't
return anything.
Anyway, I don't think I'll be able to get anything further now, as I
can't reproduce the bug after having used Thunderbird.

The problem was somehow resolved after setting Thunderbird as my default
e-mail client and then reverting it to Evolution.

On my Ubuntu 10.04 setup, evolution crashes while launching, thus I
don't get to see the GUI.
This is the terminal output when I run it:

Uninstalling that package (along with gtk2-engines-gtk-qt, which depends
on it) got rid of the problem. There is a slight delay when the app
starts, though, but the thing works.

The gnome-appearance-properties dialog is unresponsive on my Ubuntu 7.10
