This behaviour persisted after moving my /home folder to a separate

there's something lurking in the home folder that we can't find!

Hi Christian
I followed your instructions, and perfectly understand what you are
saying, and was surprise when it did not work.
There aren't many more details to give- just to note that every time I
log in, Tomboy is present as an icon in the notification area on my
panel. There is no .gnome2/se
Hm. That didn't work for me. :(

Hi Pedro
The issue has been recurring again today, a couple of times.
Unfortunately, a .crash file does not seem to be generated- the
/var/crash folder has some nvidia-glx files and an xserver-xorg file
from some mucking about I was doing with the drivers.
Is there any other way of providing debu
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: deskbar-applet
Occasionally, deskbar-applet (2.24.1) crashes with the following
symptoms:
Deskbar icon disappears from panel.
Window appears on desktop advising that the applet has closed, and offering to
re-start. Re-starting works fine.
dmesg reports
I have been seeing this bug, Intrepid with all updates applied.
Ticking/unticking 'Stick to panel' rectifies the problem. Compiz is
working with nvidia driver 177 applied.
Will try to reproduce with another user account on the system.
