Public bug reported:
If I turn on Visual Alerts under System Settings / Universal Access in
the Hearing tab, the "Flash the window title" option only works if the
window is not maximized, and the "Flash the entire screen" option does
not work at all. I am using Unity 2D under 12.04.

The problem went away. I assume this was fixed with the automatic update
to the nvidia-current package from 256.53-0ubuntu3 to

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
In gnome-terminal under Maverick, if I open a file in vim or less and
scroll down the file by holding down the "j" key, it is slow and choppy.
If I do the same thing in an xterm, it scrolls quickly. This was not a
problem in Lucid.

Not only is it difficult to tell the difference between an active and an
inactive window, the border is practically nonexistant, so overlapping
windows can look like a single window. See screenshot.

I have the exact same issue with taking screenshots in Jaunty with multiple
monitors, and I have found a workaround.
If I align the top edge of all my monitors, the black bar no longer appears in
screenshots of a window or an area of the screen.
I have also opened this bug in gnome's bugtracker.
Here is the apport.log screenshot. (I was too lazy to scp the log file
off of the live cd.) BTW, I was running this under VMWare Fusion 2.0.

Binary package hint: nautilus
I downloaded the Jaunty AMD64 Desktop iso, and I ran it as a live cd.
The Gnome panel at the bottom filled up because it was trying to open up
nautilus over and over again. I'm including screenshots with auth.log
and apport.log, which were the on
