My Google Apps account is able to connect successfully and the status is
set as "Available". Now when I try my GMail account, it shows
"Available" for a split second and then returns to "Disconnected -- no
reason specified".

When I try to add my google talk account to empathy (or add it as a
jabber account with the server settings set to google's server), it says
"Disconnected -- no reason specified". The following was outputted to
stdout:

While I never noticed this issue in previous releases, I am unable to
interrupt the fading process in Maverick, no matter what I do. This is
highly annoying and really needs to be fixed.

Been wondering why Flash has been crashing left and right for me in
Chromium (doesn't crash in Firefox). Finally Google returned this bug. I
can happily say that running it with XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 as stated
above solves the issue.
