The clip plays fine with gst-launch, but totem still won't play it.

Totem and totem-mozilla do play some QuickTime fine, such as:

So this shouldn't be a codec issue.
However, totem will not play this one, claiming there's no plugin. I've tried

/default-display-manager to /usr/bin/gdm - which does not exist. It
should be /usr/sbin/gdm.
