Pedro, I have had to complete rebuild system.
Hardware and software are modified.
This only happened when the notification was on the side and the cairo-dock
also had an issue similar during the same time. The notify area and the notify
app on the cairo-dock both had this problem.

It's not a matter of laziness or efficiency or whatever. The X core
protocol only allows for four keyboard groups, full stop. You can't
have more than four layouts without magically changing your keymap when
you switch to a layout n >= 4, which is incredibly difficult.
