Well, it just looks like I can execute commands, but the characters
don't appear, and the window "looks", but isn't, frozen.
Maximized apps also get random weird factors.

With the latest updates, things are snappy again. Quite snappy indeed.
But the only problem is that I'm suddenly loosing input focus on gnome-
terminal and xterm windows.
Just as suddenly it comes back, at a random time...
I don't think this has anything to do with metacity.

I must've lost that warning along with all the spam.
I don't care that it's rejected, I hate viewing videos on the browser anyway.
IIRC there wasn't any crash file though.

Hi,
I'm using Edgy. Launchpad really needs better bug reporting, I guess.
How can I help you get that crash file? Also, it's hard to know how it
crashes, since I couldn't really see a patter other than "using it" or
"not using it". Crashes have disappeared.

Sebastien: please forget the preview pane. I don't use it. I use only
two columns: folder tree view (on the left) and message list on the
right.
I prefer to open each mail I want to see instead of having it previewed
(which really slows things down).
The problem is that the message list view is

Instead of adding a bug for 1024x768 with ATI I added my comments here,
which seem appropriate after all, since it not only doesn't fit 800x600
but a bigger resolution as well.

BTW, the weird colours is because I happened to be trying beryl out at
that time, but I did check that it also happens under the way more

I don't think it's either graphic card driver or window manager related.

Sebastien look at the folder tree, it clearly isn't displaying the
contents. I can't enlarge it unless I drag the window outside the screen
area and then stretch the other extremity.

This problem is not limited to the mail component window. It's general

In answer to Daniel, this happens with metacity as well as beryl.

It isn't obvious in the screenshot but I can't enlarge the tree view. If
I manually move evolution's window to the left in order to enlarge to
the right, I am now able to enlarge the tree view.
It seems the GUI buttons are too large even for 1024x768 (not 764, that
was my mistake).

While it is bad that it doesn't scale on 800x600,. it is scary that it
doesn't scale on my resolution.
I only have folder tree on the left and messages list on the right (no
preview pane at all).
