Whoopee! Finally fixed in Evolution 3.2 in Ubuntu 11.10. And reference my my wondering above in #6: "The nuisance part of that is that all my calendar, contacts, and so on and so forth would need migrating if I opted to go the Thunderbird way. Let alone what happens to syncing contacts via Ubuntu

It is still an issue with Evolution 2.32.2 and Natty (both on 32 and 64 bit machines, and has been an issue for a way long time. The only way I have found to save them is to copy the source and then decode them with another app: way too much trouble. This is an Evolution problem, not an Ubuntu on
