Using the steps to reproduce I can reproduce this bug but I can find
this information out through right clicking on network manager applet
and pressing connection information gives me my leased ip adderess from
dhcp. Another workaround is to run ifconfig in a terminal.

inactive for 5 minutes ENABLED.
When I am in the middle of viewing a photo slideshow with Shotwell,
Ubuntu will turn off the screen after 5 minutes. The photos are changing
every couple seconds during the slide

the many problems with external monitors that afflicted Natty. Two quick

Running 'gnome-control-center user-accounts' from command line and
changing the switch gives:

Confirmed this is still a bug at least in Natty - can't quite believe it
still hasn't been addressed. I thought there would be an upstream bug,
but couldn't find one. Will raise one when I get a chance.
