My house has standard CAB5 ethernet cables and we connect to a hub to a
router and then via dsl to the internet. these connections are
hardcoded, i do not use dhcp.
the connections to the internet are to two ISP where I (resp. my

sorry I was to fast:
It worked only once: I had opened nautilus with the (standard) home
directory and could open a second tab using ctrl-T. But then again, when
I tried to change from home to a network directory, this took forever
and the network directory thus was never loaded, which worked
