Still a problem with Xubuntu12.04: Xfburn as well as Brasero don't
recognize en empty cd. The only program that keeps working is K3b =>

On my laptop, I can use Brasero, although at inserting a blank cd-rom,
the warnings underneath are generated. So it possible that a lot of

I did a clean install of ubuntu 10.4 on a dell Inspiron 5150 (cd/dvd-
drive = CDRW/DVD SBW-242).
I can burn a blank cd by means of Brasero (brasero indicates the correct number
of bytes available). If one
clicks on the desktop-icon (mounted device) -> properties : 0 bytes used, 0
bytes free ==>
