Thank you for filing this bug report. I have been able to reproduce the
bug (although it doesn't randomly put it in a place, it places where it
believes the next launcher would be aligned instead of the where the
cursor is).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. What you submitted is not really a bug, or a problem in
the current implementation of the software, but rather a feature
request. Ubuntu has a site for collecting new ideas just like this and I
