Ok... after an upgrade to Karmic (my previous post related to Karmic
LiveCD) , my HP Pavilion dv4000's power management became completely
psychotic... AC disconnect sends it into suspend; lid closure by itself
doesn't, but close + open the lid and press any key -- we go into
suspend; after resume o
Just tested this on Karmic RC -- behavior is still the same:
-- on fresh boot, closing the lid does nothing (just turns the display
backlight off);
-- suspending works correctly when triggered from the menu, or by pressing the
hotkey;
-- after suspending has been triggered once, closing the lid
I'd like to add my experiences also, with Karmic on an HP laptop dv4000
series. The described behavior is 100% reproducible.
On fresh boot, "Close Lid" doesn't do anything, lid state reported as
"open" (even when it's closed). Suspending manually (via menu, or
"sleep" button -- Fn F5 on this lapto
