The GPM in Ted Gould's PPA fixes the issue for me. I may be wasting my
breath but please please please include this fix in hardy.

Confirmed with hardy alpha 5 and rhythmbox 0.11.4. When an ipod is
plugged in, rhythmbox opens and adds the ipod's tracks to my library.
They stay there until the ipod is ejected, after which the tracks go
into the "missing files" section. The same behavior is present with a
new user account on thi
