Appending "OnlyShowIn=KDE;" to kfmclient_dir.desktop dolphin.desktop and cervisia.desktop , helped. After that , "Main Menu Bar" opens Favorites in Nautilus. I wonder if removing "OnlyShowIn=GNOME;" from nautilus will do the same thing. -- Gnome's Places menu starts Konqueror instead of Nautilu

Changing the values for gnome power manager didn't really solve the problem , as I had mentioned before. I'm now using Icewm , without gnome-power-manager and the problem with the screen brightness still exists. I suppose this is a problem with acpi , rather than with gnome- power-manager. -- Scr
