I'm having the same issue. Today I found at

applet which can estimate the battery percentage.

In Ubuntu 11.04 Natty (final version) it seems that the cursor doesn't
make jumps over the screen as in Maverick, but,
1) The right click doesn't work. Nothing happens when I press the right click.
2) I can't drag and drop.
