Confirm (in KVM machines) that Unity works fine from gdm3 under Impish,
but a fresh VM of Jammy doesn't work with either lightdm or gdm for me.
I get to see a quick glimpse of the Unity desktop, then this fullscreen

For me the problem is when you search in folders with deep nesting ; one
hit in a deeper folder and your Name column is compressed to an
ellipsis.
I think it should be the location column that's compressed (by omission
of some text).

I've attached an SVG file that crashes the entire X server when opened
in eog (but not when opened in Inkscape).
This doesn't happen on my home desktop with a big beefy nvidia card,
just on "productivity" machines with lesser graphics cards.

My problem was even more extreme ; the entire X server crashed, taking
my session and all my open applications with it. IMHO that makes it more
than a minor bug - anything that can crash your X server can cause you

This is in Empathy 2.32.0 in 10.10
I think it probably only happens with small files that complete
quickly - the file in question was small. Perhaps when file transfers
faster than the update interval of the UI.
