hibernates. Expected the computer to actually go to sleep. If sleep is
chosen from the power menu on the top right corner of the screen, the

Maybe something could be in Startup Programs to automatically give a
list of programs that are in the applications menu? That would probably
solve 95% of users problems trying to find common programs.
What they are referring is that you have to open Startup Applications ->

I can't get the backtrace instructions to work with a command line
program with arguments to it. gdb assumes the arguments are for gdb,
which doesn't work.

Well, the program only crashes when using ltrace. If I'm not using
ltrace it just hangs.
It's impossible to produce a gdb backtrace since the instructions does
not work with giving command line arguments to the program.

In Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon), Gnome Terminal (2.18.2-0ubuntu1) doesn't
respect the Dvorak keyboard layout correctly. When pressing Ctrl+Z to
suspend a process the text size is instead decreased. Ctrl+Z on Dvorak
is on top of the '-' key on
For me it has even been like that that I was completely sure that I
wrote the correct passwords for both my layouts since I know them quite
well. Still no luck. Hard to know which layout is really used, could be
some obscure X configuration even for all I know.
