I use deb, snap and flatpak packages, that is why I have installed
"Software" package to have them all on the same app.
1. Open Software and at the title bar click on Explore button.
2. Left of title bar click on search icon.
3. Type in: pinta
4. Pinta app is displayed. Click
When I build the 536491641, I use meson build.
When 1c9e4c93d, I use gbp buildpackage.
Thus, I tried dh_quilt_patch then gbp buildpackage on 1c9e4c93d.
The issue is gone.
Based on above test, I think it's likely related to debian/rules.
Something cause it (or has higher fail rate) happens.

Thanks. It looks to me that there is a phantom touch event at the start
of the gesture. So gnome-shell is behaving correctly:

This means it is either a kernel bug or a hardware fault relating to the
touchscreen.

Reproduced this issue several times, but it doesn't happen all the time.
After trying to take a screenshot of an area, the screenshotting may fail and
the ubuntu dock and all window menus become unresponsive. Mouseover on the dock
will change the cursor to the plus-sign used

Thanks for the bug report. It looks like the touchscreen thinks either a
button is held down or a finger is touching the screen during the
downward cursor movement.
Please try running 'sudo evtest' in a separate window to log all the
touchscreen events, and see if you can find evidence of the kern
