Hello.
When I have any applications running and I open up the application menu the
running applications cover the Activities Overlay, I think this is what it is
called in Gnome, maybe application grid?
I will add a screenshot.
This happens in X and under Wayland

Interesting, I do not get the issue now. However, I did check multiple
times and in different directories before opening this bug. And since it
has already been reported before, means there may have been a problem
with my system or something else.

Something different happened tonight, but it feels related so I'm going
to post it with this bug report.
Tonight I did an apt upgrade for a single package -- containerd. Gnome
didn't crash this time, but a short time later I noticed that
/var/log/syslog was filling up with the following messages:

is even if a user is set to change their password upon logon via Windows
active directory the user is never prompted to do so. I have tried

The workaround to set the wallpaper resolution to the screen resolution does
