The only known explanation I can think of for this is bug 1897765, which
a few gamers have reported (including upstream) as breaking fullscreen
support. So please try following these instructions and tell us if you
find any evidence of 'gnome-shell' crashing:

OK. You would need to install Ubuntu before you can choose Wayland. But it's
not guaranteed to fix things. And if you see related problems in Windows 10
then it sounds like the hardware is faulty :(
Maybe not badly faulty... if the problem is just incorrect timing info in the
monitor's EDID. It

Hi Daniel.
I do not have a login screen, so I do not have a password nor do I see any
of the options you have mentioned. See the attached screenshots.
Screenshot 1 shows the options I have. I usually go with 'try Ubuntu' or I
exit installation completely.
Screenshot 2 shows the desktop and the ap
I believe I've been running into this same bug as well. I've had it
with Ubuntu 18.04 and now 20.04 both running as a VM under VirtualBox on
Windows 20.
I've been able to configure the settings such that the screen will stay
on seemingly indefinitely once logged in.
The issue occurs at the login

Message pop up saying I had a problem and ask me if I wanted to send the

exactly what is the bug, but, I know the computer has been working very

I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Adding the rls-gg-incoming tag to consider
whether this is worthwhile.

I've succesfully installed and tested the `librsvg2-*`
v2.48.9-1ubuntu0.20.04.1 packages on focal and can confirm that they
work as expected for me, meaning i.a. that the bug I suffered from in
the previous v2.48.7 is fixed.
I've used the CLI `rsvg-convert` as well as the R package rsvg[
Removed the package for this extensions and also the extensions in that
directory. After that I logout and login again and started the game
Portal two times, one using GameMode and the other not using it. Both
times the game couldn't go full screen correctly.
