to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to

I'll add my frustration here as well and possibly a solution.
I think we all agree that this is a basic feature and removing it
results in a horrible user experience. The key here is IMHO the lack of
discoverability. I wouldn't call myself a beginner user and yet I had no
idea that the disappearin
19.10 still has the corrupted desktop scattered image (an annoying grey-
yellow-white pattern) with nvidia-435. The same pattern appear also in
some images in the chromium browser window.

and the same bug just happened to me. I can't restart gnome since
Wayland is enabled.
Usually, the system is stable, I wonder if this is related to a
